Badly let down by the host. They cancelled our booking while we were en-route via e-mail travelling for hundreds of miles for hours and hours, something like this you'd expect a call from the host or airbnb because who reads their emails whilst they are travelling. I'd been in communication with the host a couple of times that morning without any issues. Had to complain about this to airbnb, absolutely shocking letdown. Arrived at the accommodation and noticed that there was a vehicle parked in the private parking space the property had so went to my emails to contact the hoat only to see that he'd cancelled our booking due to an alleged boiler failure ?? Why was there a vehicle parked in the private parking place ?? Basically it left us without anywhere to stay at 7pm on a Saturday night with 3 dogs. Shocking that there was no phone call to advise he had to cancel.

This place is unsafe and should NOT be advertised. Ceiling lights hanging down with exposed wires - most didn’t work. Splash back in kitchen smashed exposing electrical and plumbing. Not a single door had working hinges. No lock on back door. Rubbish in back garden and clutter everywhere. Advertised as 2 bathrooms - ‘second’ bathroom was a toilet under the stairs-obviously installed by an amateur who had no idea. Car parking was not available as advertised. Disgusting place and should never been listed. Airbnb - you told me you would take this listing down. So it’s on you if someone gets electrocuted.
