Ryker and his Team did an amazing job with communication from the onset. They also reached out checking in on our stay periodically. The home was perfect for my family's short vacation in Sacramento. It has everything you need for a large family and the location is perfect to get to any destination in the Sacramento area. Thank you Ryker for having us stay in your home!

We checked into the property at around 5pm. The high for that day was 104 degrees and we arrived to find that the air conditioning was malfunctioning. It was apparent that this was a preexisting issue as there were multiple fans throughout the house, (including an industrial sized metal fan in the living room) in addition to a portable air conditioning unit in the lower floor that was haphazardly installed. The upstairs rooms (with the exception of one) were all suffocatingly hot. We immediately informed the host and air bnb of the issue. Their HVAC contractor wasn’t available and the host took until 9pm to come to the house. They did nothing to fix the issue, took away the portable air conditioner and told me with a straight face that the air conditioning was working while standing in a suffocatingly hot room with nothing coming out of the vent. At 10pm, out of concern for the small children we were with, we left to a hotel. No apology. No refund. Just a ruined vacation.

We stayed at the height of summer and the home's central AC was completely inoperable for our entire stay. An HVAC technician confirmed it could not be repaired until after we checked out. The portable AC unit cooled only a small area of the home, while the fans simply circulated the hot air. We booked this property because it advertised air conditioning, and had we known it wasn't functional, we would have booked elsewhere. What ultimately earned this one-star review was how the situation was handled afterward. Despite acknowledging the AC was unusable for our entire stay, the host refused to provide any compensation beyond Airbnb's standard AirCover refund. We expected the host to take greater ownership of an issue that substantially impacted our family's stay. I hope the AC has since been repaired, but based on both the stay and how it was handled, I cannot recommend this property.

The host provided easy to follow instructions upon check in. The location was great and the house itself was wonderful and spacious. For our particular stay, unfortunately, we had to leave early due to issues with cooling of the home, which we understood, were out of the hosts control due to a power outage in the area. They did try to rectify the issue promptly after being notified, but we had been trying to deal with over 80 degree weather indoors the entire time we were staying there and found other accommodations. I’m sure if the host had known there was cooling issues before our arrival, we would have been notified but I don’t think anyone knew there was a cooling issue until we checked in and found the thermostat temperature would never change. Other than that. Ryker was responsive to communication and tried to rectify the issue promptly. We had left our stay early before the issue was rectified.

Rykers place in Citrus Heights was really nice. There were numerous grocery stores and gas stations within a few minutes drive so picking up some extra gtoceries was super easy. Like other guests have said, the covered patio and pool were amazing. We were a little bit worried about the pool being cold but with the warm weather they had the thermometer said the pool was about 84 degrees. Maybe in the spring and fall you would want to pay to have it heated. The house was really nice and the beds were super comfortable. You could tell that whoever had the house built spent some money on all the extras. There was granite everywhere along with a wine fridge, coffee station and three sinks in the kitchen/family room. The option to park in the garage was also nice. Being from Washington State it was nice not having to get into a hot car whenever we went somewhere. Only two complaints: Not enough silverware or dishes and no surface cleaner to clean the kitchen counter.
