We spent a happy few days at the Exe Riverside Retreat. The cottage is small but perfectly formed, clean and tidy, and kitted out with everything we needed. It's an easy walk into town, pretty much next door to the Mill on the Exe pub/restaurant, yet remote enough to feel like it's in the countryside. The top floor views over the river and trees definitely helped! All in all, a peaceful retreat for a few days rest and relaxation.

We had a great stay for 3 nights visiting friends who lived nearby. Not in the centre of town but walkable, also to the station. Nice to have the terrace too

Although we had to unfortunately cancel our stay, I wanted to leave a review because the hosts were absolutely brilliant throughout the process. They were friendly, responsive, understanding, and communicated clearly at every stage. Their professionalism and kindness made a difficult situation much easier to manage. Based on our experience with them, I would not hesitate to recommend them as hosts and would happily book with them again in the future.

Nice place for a few days. We stayed during the heatwave and the bedroom on the top floor was very hot, even at night. Well appointed overall and the pub next door is great. We were a bit surprised about the £30 non refundable fee before check in. Didn’t see this stated when booking but maybe we didn’t read carefully enough.

Two good bedrooms and lovely bathroom in this very convenient, small house. Kitchen great and well equipped. Sitting area not enough seating for 4 and outside space looks great in advertising photos but in reality could do with more love.

Convenient location close to river and within walking distance to City centre and Quayside. Accomodation was clean and tidy and suited our needs.
