It was as advertised and even better. It was like staying as a guest in your best friends house. We like to cook and bake.. A very well stocked kitchen with spices and everything you need to cook. John also stocked it with coffee, bagels, cream cheese, wine and beer. It was really set up for your first week staying there, John is a very nice man. He lives downstairs and likes to garden. Lots of flowers and plants. I honestly cannot say enough about what a wonderful stay we had.

Excellent space. Stayed here for a month and really appreciated the separate working space. Great views. In a safe and beautiful neighbourhood and walking distance to restaurants and cafes. Highly recommend!

Cosy home, beautifully designed and very spacious! Best views of Downtown LA too! Loved walking around silverlake and to the reservoir, peaceful safe neighbourhood which is key for me as a woman traveller. I enjoy cooking regularly thus the kitchen was a dream, it had all the utensils and equipment I needed even an instant pot cooker! (Just had to bring my own rice cooker). But above all else John & his partner were so lovely and accommodating! Made us feel at home and helped us with anything we needed (and a small issue we faced was addressed quickly!). Even when John himself was going through some personal challenges, you could see his priority making sure his guests were well taken care of. Appreciated it so much. Highly recommend & would love to stay again.

As everyone has said, John and his place are great. Fantastic views, very walkable neighborhood and an ideal Silverlake experience. The place is extremely well stocked and really feels like a home. Highly recommend!
