Missing bedding for sofa bed even though requested before hand, was dropped off the following morning though

Overall, the place was great. However, (1) we were not pleased that Vellanor Ltd doesn't disclose upfront that there's a £400 security deposit (they place a hold on your card/account for this amount, paid through their own website, which isn't released until after checkout). This is an important detail that should be stated clearly in the listing description for full transparency, so guests can make an informed decision before booking & paying the Airbnb fees. Otherwise one could pay through Airbnb and only later realize a £400 hold isn't convenient. Also, I've stayed at other expensive Airbnb homes that don't have such a deposit but simply trust the guests. Feels better 😊 There was also a small circular black-and-white item on the dining room wall that could be a cctv camera, or simply resembled one. Since dining areas are public spaces, this may not be a major issue, but for guests who prioritize privacy, it could be off-putting Aside from these two points, the house was great.

Clean and tidy accommodation for a 2 night contractor visit.

The house itself was lovely — great location, plenty of room, and a big, clean kitchen. Free parking right outside on the road was a nice bonus too. Unfortunately, a couple of things let the experience down. When we arrived and did our usual check-in photos, we found a dead moth on the bed and some spider webs around the house — clearly missed during the cleanup. My child was upset and didn’t want to go into that room. Accidents happen with cleaning, and I understand that, but when I sent photos to the host, he flatly denied it was possible, rather than acknowledging the issue. That response was disappointing. The second issue was around pricing transparency. At booking, the price shown didn’t make clear that afterward you’re required to either pay a non-refundable £20 fee or a refundable £400 deposit. This should be stated upfront, not sprung on guests after they’ve already booked. Aside from these two issues, the stay itself was pleasant, and the property has real potential in it

Loved the place! The check-in and check-out process was very smooth, and the property was clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We weren’t there for very long as it was a very last minute booking. The place is really beautiful, I wish we could have spent more time there. Really lovely decor. Stairs could have done with a bit more hoovering but apart from that it was lovely!
