Sophie’s place is well located for the airport and NEC. It needs some love. The floorboards were damp and warped by a leaking freezer and the downstairs smelled pretty musty. Sophie said she’d send round maintenance but that didn’t happen. Everything is a bit rundown and needs maintenance.

The property was fine and did the job for us to sleep in on a weekend where we planned to be out and about most of the time. As is suggested by the listing, it is much more equipped for contractors working long shifts than anyone wanting somewhere nice to stay for a trip away. It appeared relatively clean on initial look, but we found it was dirty in places, there was some rubbish left behind and stains/water damage. Some of the beds were quite uncomfortable and one of the rooms is tiny and had no airflow. Additionally, it "sleeps 6" but there were only seats for 4 in the dining and living room. While communication was prompt and instructions were relatively clear, the majority of the messages we received were automated and felt out of touch considering the maintenance the property needed.

Sophie is a lovely host, very helpful and responsive to questions and messages! The place was lovely to stay in and I hope to book with her again in the future.

Great location, super comfortable beds, would benefit from a little maintenance and a freshen up in places but overall we were very happy for the price we paid. Great heating system it was lovely and warm. Thank you!
