This is a nice house located on a quiet street on the edge of a large estate. We had 2 children with us and there is a lovely little playground just steps away. There is a footpath in front of the house, handy for a quick stroll or a walk into East or West Hagbourne. There were 6 of us and everyone found the beds to be extremely comfortable. Both the showers were great, good pressure and plenty of hot water. The reason we’re giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because the maintenance of the house needs improvement. When we arrived we noticed that there were only 5 cups; when informed of this the host did bring us more which we appreciated. Several windows could not be opened because the keys were missing. There was an on and off sewage smell in one of the bathrooms. A couple of lamps needed the bulbs changing and when we were brought more bulbs they didn’t work either. All the knives in the knife set were old and blunt and need to be replaced. Hopefully these things can be fixed.

Beautiful, clean house in a wonderful location. Quiet residential area, perfeft for a few days of relax. Easy check-in and cosy atmosphere. Overall, a great stay.

We had a family Christmas get together and wanted something welcoming and easy to use with enough room for us all. This a modern house overlooking fields and provided everything we needed and more and everybody really enjoyed the stay. The host Hamish was about the most responsive we've ever experienced on Airbnb and although we had no problems whatsoever I don't doubt that he was on hand just in case - even over Christmas. The location in Didcot was probably a one-off for us due to some family logisitics but if we ever do need to come back we'd choose the place again in a heartbeat. We can absolutely recommend a local park (10 minutes walk) for kids and the local pizza shop for fantastic pizza to feed a small army at very reasonbable rates!

Spent Christmas at this beautiful home and it was simply wonderful. Hamish is a great host and his communication was exceptional. His responses were speedy and very helpful. Nothing was too much. He put up the cutest Christmas tree for us and completely empathised with our need for the downstairs of the house to be warmer for my elderly mum staying with us from the Caribbean. The house is the perfect space for large groups or families. The kitchen was put through its paces on Christmas Day and helped us serve up a fantastic feast. My favourite thing was the layout of the ground floor. Tons of sunlight pours into the kitchen/dining room area throughout the day and there is access from that area into the living room, which is a very generous size. Morning views over the fields are stunning and although there are superstores within 7 mins drive, the location is extremely peaceful and quiet. Oh and the bedding and beds are SENSATIONAL. Hamish was really proactive in ensuring we were able to check in ok. The house was brilliant, really comfy and clean with everything we needed. Would highly recommend.
