This is not a modern and beautiful home. It is a tired and poorly maintained home with the cheapest possible furnishings and bedding. I was left wondering whether it is student housing that is leased out over the University holiday period The kitchen was poorly equipped, with just two mugs, five chipped plates and five chipped bowls. The pans and cooking implements were old and filthy. The dishwasher does not work (and the owner is not prepared to fix it). There were empty food wrappers and food detritus in the bedroom and kitchen cupboards when we checked in. Many rooms have no lightshades, the security lock on the front door is smashed off and the carpets and paintwork are grim. The house is on a very busy road with extremely loud traffic noise if you need to open the windows. I checked out one week in to a three week booking as the house was so unpleasant. To date, ‘Our Home Short Stays’ have not returned my deposit. They have been extremely unhelpful to deal with
