We enjoyed our stay and will stay again. There were plenty of rooms and bathrooms, which made it easy for us to spread out. The location was great. There are a few different ways to walk to town, including some lovely footpaths. It was quiet, as well. Some of the days we were there were warm and we had the windows open and it was peaceful, with only the noises of the neighborhood. It was also clean and tidy, which we appreciated.

The house is lovely and really felt at home! Kitchen was very well equipped and beds were very comfy. Nice common space to spend time with family. Whilst there is absolutely no noise coming from outside, you can hear everyone moving around from the top floor (sound insulation not the best) which can be a bit annoying in evenings / early morning. Similarly, some of the bedroom only had thin white curtains - which means we were up at 5am (while other bedrooms had full on blackout curtains). It’s a 20m walk from Durham town and the walk is beautiful - in the nature and with a great view on the cathedral.

Really nice place and worth paying the extra

A lovely house well equipped in a quiet area on the edge of the city rather than downtown that said we had a car, we travel by train and the Taxi fair is £8 to the house from the station. A clean well designed modern house with four good bedrooms, the main bedroom being particularly attractive with its ensuite, the kitchen fairly well equipped. A comfortable lounge for relaxing kitchen next to the dining area so very simple for food preparation to meet the table. I would recommend the property with its 3 to 4 bedrooms +3 bathrooms. My only concern would be that it’s not walking distance into town.

Had a great stay in this very spacious house. It was with in walking distance of Durham City Centre. We had a great day out at Beamish, which would highly recommend.
