Very disappointing. On arrival- no heating on. This meant the house was at 7c and made for a cold and unwelcoming start. The house never really got warm due to its poor insulation. The pile of post on the mat suggested no one had been in for some time. The bathroom was below standard. The toilet seat was dirty, the bin was broken (and hadn't been emptied), damp hand towel and orange water staining up the blinds and tiling. The lack of a towel rail of any kind made drying wet towels in a cold house very difficult. There was dust on the skirting under the bathroom sink and a number of the bedroom draws hadn't been cleaned. Visible mould patches in the lounge. Parking options at the rear very limited. This house has clearly been 'repainted' rather than 'renovated' (paint tins stocked under the stairs). The pictures were clearly taken a while ago. Host communications were delegated, functional and 'after the fact'. Generally a poor experience and not worth the price.

Stayed for a couple days, was a great base for our day trips into Durham (12 min bus, 8 min taxi). Bowburn itself is not very exciting, but that wasn’t the point of our trip. Place was super clean, comfortable, and easily navigated. Some of the amenities listed we did not find (hairdryer, for instance), but it wasn’t a big problem at all. Would definitely stay again!

There was no parking space available and said there was there are 3 keys and only one works 2 boxes for the keys and don’t state what one the keys are in when we got in eventually there was rubbish left on floor the bath was dirty and the whole house smelled like a reptile shop was rancid the bed are hard and uncomfortable and the bed my son was in had not been changed I no this coz I worked as a cleaner disgusting u can’t move in the house without it sounding like your gonna fall through the roof and can hear every little noise wasn’t a nice stay at all we left early because of this not happy

The place is exactly as described. Super clean, even had two sofa beds though we didn't use it, but comfy. Walking distance to local shop.

Daniel house was excellent for our needs, and ideał for family that want to be together. Very friendly environment and have everything require for our needs. My suggestion to you are; have small toothpast and little gel duche in the house, in case a guest forget to bring his/her one. Most of the property offer this basic needs.

We visited for a few Days whilst working at the Nearby University Campus. The house was warm, homely, and had everything we needed for cooking washing etc. Will use this again. 1 large bed in 1 room, 2 single beds in another. and a sofa bed optional if needed.
