I stayed here for 3 nights and paid around £600. After my booking was confirmed, I received an email asking me to complete an online check-in, provide a photo ID (passport or driving licence), and pay a £100 security deposit. I’ve been using Airbnb for over 12 years and have never been asked for this before, which made me uncomfortable. I would have cancelled the booking at that point, but it was non-refundable, so I had no real option other than to provide the ID and pay the deposit. The house itself was average. The bathroom could do with some repairs and the mattress in the main bedroom was very uncomfortable as the springs could be felt which gave me backache. Overall, I don’t feel the property offered good value at £200 per night, and I don’t think I would book with this host again.

Exactly what we were looking for. Location was great, very easy to get into town, and the off street parking was handy. The property had everything we needed including a fully equipped kitchen, cozy living space, and comfortable bedrooms.

We only stayed one night but the apartment is very cozy and the beds are comfortable.

Unfortunately, the stay didn’t meet expectations, especially for the price (which is very high for Newcastle). While the area is quiet and the property was clean, several issues made the stay uncomfortable and below standard. Hot water was lukewarm and the boiler couldn’t heat it properly, Shower drained poorly and overflowed, Kitchen window leaked and pooled water on the worktop spoiling some of our food, and Heating was initially restricted and kept dropping to 15°C. The listing photos are also misleading: the kitchen and bathroom are not modern, and the shower and toilet are in separate rooms, which is not shown in the listing. The host was polite and responsive, and did compensate us for the issues we experienced, but these issues require proper maintenance and should have been addressed before renting the property out. Overall, not good value for the price.

Such a lovely stay for a weekend away! The place was so clean and had very comfortable beds.very homely stay and old definitely stay again! Thanks Hannah and Scott for being so helpful!
