Nice cottage in a quiet street with good parking. Ideal base for visiting York; the city is a 20-minute walk away. Furthermore, the cottage is very cozy, with a pleasant carpet to walk on. Furthermore, the beds are comfortable.

Chloe was always available if we needed her, and she was in regular contact prior to our visit - we were really happy with our stay

We booked based on reviews and photos that flattered to deceive. We were met with weeds around the front door . The house was not clean with dust on surfaces , Cobweb above door and windows and glass coffee table unclean. Settee and cushions grubby. Cooker oven and grill not clean. Leak from Washing mc / Dish washer that was not used by us. Uncomfortable beds with lumpy springs and one bed spring coming through the mattress. Bath that would not hold water . Very little accompaniments , only salt and pepper . I spoke to host prior to booking regarding it being our Golden Wedding treat and wanted to be assured that all was ok and that we had some upsets with bookings elsewhere previously. She assured me that she strived to provide a 5 Star service and good cleaning So you can only imagine the upset that we encountered once inside. It upset my wife and spoiled our trip. I have complained to host but she will not accept complaints . We will remember this stay for wrong reasons

I can't say I found Yearsley Crescent a particularly great place to stay and probably should have researched more however there were certain things such as the washing machine not working, the shower head being definitely broken I.e no matter how much you turned it the spray was still narrow, the cleanliness of the bathroom and finally the fact there was no recycling boxes were disappointing. on the plus side it was a great location to the centre of York and Chloe was very responsive.

Lovely house in a cul de sac, so not much traffic, neighbours (we hardly saw any) were quiet. A very peaceful street. Found the key lock a little difficult to operate as it was almost floor level, and our knees are not bending as they use to!! The house is great but would not consider it for more than 4 people as only one bathroom and toilet, so you’ll have to be ‘synchronised’ or very obliging if 4 or more stayed in this house. My friends and I found the beds comfortable, however my partner didn’t. And the description of the stairs is spot on, they are steep so for those with low mobility should consider this carefully. We were okay as we all live in older houses so use to steep stairs. Love the location as we walked 30 mins into the City, but it’s a lovely walk by the river. There is a bus from Haxby Road which was also very convenient. Finally, it is a home from home, just bring clothes, food and a toothbrush.

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. The place was exactly as described—clean, cozy, and very well-organized. The location was very convenient, close to shops, restaurants, which made it easy to explore the area. The host was friendly and responsive, always ready to help with any questions. Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. Overall, I truly enjoyed my stay and felt very comfortable throughout. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area, and I would love to stay here again in the future.
