James’ place was okay for our stay, which we were taking for a concert. One thing I will say was it did the job, mostly, and allowed us to stay in an area that had a lot of cafe’s + a shopping centre near the flat too. We arrived to the AirBnb and used the parking right behind the building (£6 an hour), to unload into the flat and for the rest of our stay had to use the car park on Gould Street (£4 a day). The flat is a lot more worn than the pictures on the listing show; the walls are chipped, the sofa has some damage, etc. This was nothing too bad. Our main problem with the stay, we paid a lot of money, to then have to chase the host into having hot water. The water wasn’t set to “always on” until we complained the 3rd time that we had no hot water. Even after our concert, we had to bathe in a very small bath as the hot water ran out very quickly still. Not to mention the silverfish in the downstairs bathroom that we woke up to was unsettling too, and possibly caused by this.

Great place

James’ is a lovely apartment which is in the vibrant Northern Quarter of Manchester. Being a city center location it is quite edgy and, rather unfortunately, there is a busy bus stop right outside the front door which means there are often people hanging in the doorway and leaning on the front door (one morning a girl fell through the door when we opened it from the other side). To be clear though they were perfectly nice people queuing for their bus and because the apartment is on the fifth floor of the building you couldn’t see or hear anyone or anything at ground level! Everywhere in Manchester City Center is an easy walk from here so it’s an excellent base. The whole apartment was cosy, clean and a lovely space to stay. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and it was a real bonus having a bathroom per bedroom. It was perfect for our weekend in Manchester visiting our son. James was a brilliant host.

Nice place in great location

Lovely few days in an appartment perfectly located in central Manchester. James was so helpful in answering queries and accommodating earlier and later check in and out which was really helpful with our luggage. Thank you
