Cancelling a booking as a host
When you have to cancel, how to do it and what happens next.
Cancelling lets a guest down, so only cancel if you really have to. If you do:
- 1Go to your bookings and open the reservation.
- 2Choose to cancel, pick the reason — the property is unavailable, urgent maintenance or a safety issue, an emergency, a calendar conflict or another reason — and add any details for the guest and our team.
- 3Check what will happen, then confirm. This can’t be undone.
What happens next
- The guest is told straight away.
- Any payments the guest still had to make, and payouts you haven’t received yet, are cancelled.
- The dates open up again in your calendar.
Only confirmed stays that haven’t started can be cancelled online. For a stay that’s already under way, contact us.
