Syncing your calendar with Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo

Listed on Nezt and on other sites? Calendar sync stops you being double-booked. It uses iCal links — a web address for a calendar, usually ending in .ics — which every major site supports.

Sync works in two directions, and you need both for each site:

• Import to Nezt — paste the other site’s calendar link into Nezt, so dates booked there are blocked here.
• Export from Nezt — paste your Nezt calendar link into the other site, so Nezt bookings block dates there.

Where to find calendar sync on Nezt

• On a computer: go to Calendar and select the round Calendar sync button next to the listing.
• On a phone: open Calendar, then its settings, and choose Connect to another website under Connect calendars.
• When you create a listing: the Connect Your Calendar and Connect Our Calendar steps do the same.

Import another site’s calendar to Nezt

1. 1Copy the other site’s calendar export link — see the steps for each site below.
2. 2In Nezt’s calendar sync, under Import a calendar, choose the site: Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO or Other.
3. 3Paste the link into the calendar link box and select Connect.

Nezt checks each connected calendar every hour and blocks any dates booked there. To check straight away, open the calendar’s menu and choose Sync now. You can connect more than one calendar to the same listing.

Export your Nezt calendar to another site

1. 1In Nezt’s calendar sync, under Export your Nezt calendar, select Copy next to your Nezt calendar link.
2. 2On the other site, find where it imports a calendar — see below — and paste the link there.

Airbnb

To copy your Airbnb calendar link (for importing to Nezt):

1. 1On Airbnb, go to Calendar and select your listing.
2. 2Select Availability.
3. 3Under Connect calendars, select Connect to another website.
4. 4Copy your Airbnb calendar link. It starts with https://www.airbnb.com/calendar/ical/.

To add your Nezt calendar to Airbnb: in the same Connect to another website screen, paste your Nezt calendar link into the calendar address box, give it a name like “Nezt”, and select Add calendar.

Booking.com

To copy your Booking.com calendar link (for importing to Nezt):

1. 1Log in to the Booking.com extranet.
2. 2Go to Rates & Availability and choose Sync calendars.
3. 3Select Copy link to copy your Booking.com calendar link.

To add your Nezt calendar to Booking.com: on the same Sync calendars page, add a new calendar and paste your Nezt calendar link.

Vrbo

To copy your Vrbo calendar link (for importing to Nezt):

1. 1Log in to your Vrbo owner dashboard and select the listing.
2. 2Go to Calendar, select Settings and open the Availability tab.
3. 3Under Calendar sync, select Connect calendars, then Export calendar, and copy the link.

To add your Nezt calendar to Vrbo: in Connect calendars, choose to import a calendar, give it a name (up to 30 characters) and paste your Nezt calendar link.

Other sites and calendars

Any site or calendar app that gives you an iCal link works — for example another booking site, your own website’s booking system or Google Calendar. In Nezt, choose Other and paste its link. Look for words like “iCal”, “export calendar” or “calendar sync” in its settings.

Tips and troubleshooting

• Sync isn’t instant. Each site checks for changes on its own schedule — Nezt every hour, Airbnb about every 3 hours, Vrbo about every 30 minutes. A booking made on two sites within that window can still clash, so sync both ways and keep your calendars tidy.
• Use the calendar link, not the page’s address. The link to paste is the iCal one (usually ending in .ics), not the web address of your listing or calendar page.
• Dates not blocking? Check the right link is on the right listing, then choose Sync now from the calendar’s menu. Each connected calendar shows when it last synced.
• Taking a break from a site? Choose Pause syncing from the calendar’s menu, and Resume syncing when you’re back. Remove disconnects it completely.
• Blocking dates by hand? Dates you block on Nezt are shared through your Nezt calendar link too.
