Understanding offers
What’s in a host’s offer, and what each status means.
Each offer is for a specific home and your dates. It shows the price per night, the total for your stay and a message from the host. Select the total to see the full price breakdown, or the home’s name to open its listing.
- The countdown shows how long is left to accept. Offers last 48 hours, and the countdown turns red near the end.
- Accept offer takes you to checkout to book it.
- Message opens a conversation with the host if you have questions first.
An offer can’t be accepted once it has expired, or if the host withdraws it. Hosts can also update an offer’s price or message while you haven’t answered — the offer then shows the latest version, with a new 48 hours.
Offers show on a map around the place you chose, so you can compare where each home is.
