How requests work

A request tells hosts what you’re looking for, so the right places come to you. It’s free to send, and nothing is booked until you accept an offer.

1. 1You tell us where, when, who’s coming, the kind of place, your budget and anything it must have.
2. 2We send your request to hosts with a place within 15 miles of where you chose.
3. 3Hosts send offers: a home, a price for your dates and a message. You’ll see each one in Requests.
4. 4Accept the offer you want and pay to book it.

How long things last

• Your request stays open for 7 days. After that it closes, and hosts can’t send new offers on it.
• Each offer lasts 48 hours from when the host sends it, with a countdown on the offer. We’ll email you a reminder if you haven’t answered.
