Booking a place
Some places book instantly; others ask the host to approve your booking first.
Instant book
Listings with instant book are confirmed as soon as you pay. You’ll see the booking in Trips straight away.
Request to book
For other listings, your booking goes to the host to approve. The host has 24 hours to accept or decline, and you’ll hear back in Messages. Your stay is confirmed — and your payment taken — once the host accepts.
Changed your mind before the host answers? You can withdraw a booking request until the host approves it.
Check the dates, number of guests and cancellation policy before you pay.
