As we were incredibly lucky with the weather, we were able to utilise the beautiful garden space, that had everything we needed for our stay. Thank you for being responsive hosts.

I booked this house for a large family group visiting Hertford. From the beginning, Calum was very helpful and responsive. My family loved the house, and especially appreciated the beautiful garden and enjoyed sitting on the deck by the river. The location is excellent, with easy walking into Hertford with its shops, restaurants and The Castle.

Absolutely gorgeous house, and the grounds are stunning. It's down a little road which has some parking but only if you're lucky. Gaining access was slightly tricky as we thought the outhouse to gain the keys was in a different location, but bumped into one of the cleaners who showed us. The house itself is gorgeous and well equipped. The garden is sensational. We paid extra for the hot tub to be heated, but didn't need it as it was a heatwave. The owners kindly brought a parasol, lifevests for the kids and body boards to use in the stream at the bottom of the garden. They came with fresh gas for the BBQ when it wasn't working too. There were some areas that could be looked at for example the pillows were a bit naff, there was a banister pole that came away near the master bedroom, the master en-suite shower leaked etc. but nothing that was detrimental to our stay. It's also in the most beautiful area. Would definitely come back and have told friends about it!

Large house, lots of different social spaces and the garden (next to the river) is beautiful. We enjoyed our stay. However, for the cost, there were some disappointments. Terrible single pillows per person, poor bedroom furniture, lack of hand soap, toilet rolled, broken fridge drawers and generally in need of a bit of love and some basic repairs. Whilst we enjoyed our stay, our group felt that the house is very focused on maximising money not guest experience. For not much investment, this place could be incredible!

Calum was very friendly, accommodating and really responsive throughout from booking to our check-out date. He was very quick to answer to all our queries from the beginning and offered us support throughout our stay, making us feel welcome and comfortable. The place was perfect for family gatherings, offering ample space and entertainment for both kids and adults with the private cinema and hot tub. Everyone thoroughly enjoy the hot tub day & night that Calum heated in advance of our arrival and provide more than enough wood to heat up the pool for the duration of our stay. Beautiful and warm large rooms for all guest, lots of bathrooms and spacious living room and garden for everyone to relax.
